The OWL - Ottawa River Gauge is located on the island, below the Sullivan Island dam, which splits the the Middle and Main channel and provides an accurate level for all rapids on both channels.

Gauge information on this table is updated daily from mid-May till mid September (our rafting season) only if there is a significant change in the water level. The level is recorded every time an OWL Rafting Trip passes by.

Once you are on the Ottawa River you should personally check the gauge as the water level has been known to fluctuate drastically within a few hours without notice, as a result of Hydro operations on either the Quebec or Ontario side.
