Your
2 hour trip Family Rafting starts at Madawaska Kanu Centre,
where you check in with the office before meeting your guides and
collecting your helmet and lifejacket. From here we jump on the bus for
a short shuttle to the river put-in, get settled in our rafts and your
guide gives an on-water briefing that teaches you how to hold on and
what to expect heading downstream to our first rapid of the day,
Staircase.
You will get wet as the raft
descends through the 5km section of whitewater through whitewater class
I-II rapids.
During the trip we stop at the infamous
“Claudia’s Roller”, where kids love to jump off a big rock
into the current and body surf through waves. We finish our trip with
tube jumping and diving as we float across Mud Bay on our way to the
takeout.
Our Madawaka River Trips are
a great introduction to the whitewater experience.
