If you love the outdoors, enjoy paddling and want to improve or
learn new whitewater skills –
yet nervous to join the normal 'young set' at MKC
- Seniors Week may a great choice for you. We paddle
at a slower pace accommodating the less agile
body, making sure fun is our goal of the day ! A
great combination of learning whitewater skills
at your own pace, this week concentrates on running
rivers in either kayak or canoe in a group of
like-minded peers. Time is provided for
leg stretching, recovery
breaks and story telling. We find working on technical
water reading skills and safety discussions
helps overcome the fear factor of learning whitewater…
Morning Yoga sessions, or Après-paddling stretching
helps work out kinks before taking a sauna or joining the daily happy
hour. Scotch tasting has become a
tradition during Seniors Week (plan to bring a bottle of your own
if you have a favourite) -
sometimes brings out some great adventure highlights
!
