Rescue 3 -
This is the internationally recognized standard for commercial guides and whitewater instructors, as well as rescue professionals.

RT I -  Whitewater Rescue
 is specifically designed for professional river guides, private boaters, trip leaders and park service personnel who work or play around moving water. Presented in a three-day format, this course focuses on realistic situations that are faced day-to-day in moving water. The emphasis is on quick response, low-tech and improvised rescue techniques that are effective, and require minimal equipment that can be performed in remote environments. You will be taught to understand whitewater dynamics, handle swiftwater hazards and obstacles, effectively use throwbags, control in-water contact rescues, set up simple rope systems, extricate pinned/wrapped boats, utilize basic rescue equipment and much more. The course builds the necessary skill and confidence for you to perform safe and effective rescues.

SRT II - This two-day course builds on the skills learned in the WRT1. The SRT II course concentrates on further developing advanced water rescue skills, including managing the rescue scene, litter management and the utilization of teams. It emphasizes victim rescue and recovery and sharpens rescue skills taught in SRT1 within more difficult and hazardous environments. Horizontal rope systems are adapted to vertical situations and the course is highlighted by the application of newly acquired search and rescue techniques during a limited visibility night search.
